  • 01What is Novus Capital?

Novus Capital is a peer-to-peer investment platform for business lending, regulated in Bulgaria and the wider European Union. Investors fund vetted business loans and earn interest directly, without a bank sitting in the middle.

  • 02How does it work?

Open an account, verify your identity and add funds. Then pick loans yourself or let autoinvest do it for you, and collect interest as borrowers repay. You stay in control of every position.

  • 03How much do I need to start?

You can start from a low minimum per loan, so even a modest balance can be spread across several projects from day one. There is no need for a large lump sum to begin.

  • 04How do I create and verify an account?

Registration takes a few minutes. Identity verification (KYC) is handled by our partner Sumsub — you upload an identity document and a quick selfie, and most accounts are approved shortly after.

  • 01What returns can I expect?

You earn interest on the business loans you fund. Each loan shows its own rate and term up front, so you know the expected return before you commit. Returns vary by loan grade and are never guaranteed.

  • 02How and when is interest paid?

Interest is paid into your investor account every month as borrowers make their repayments. You can withdraw it or reinvest it automatically so it compounds.

  • 03What is the difference between the primary and secondary market?

The primary market is where new loans are first offered for funding. The secondary market lets investors buy and sell existing loan positions from one another, so you can exit a loan before it matures or pick up one that is already running.

  • 04Can I change my mind after investing?

Yes, within four calendar days. As a non-sophisticated investor you have a reflection period that runs from the moment you commit to an investment; inside it you can withdraw your commitment for any reason, at no cost and without giving a reason. Once the four days pass the commitment stands, and the only way out is to sell your claim on the secondary market — if a buyer is there.

  • 05What is autoinvest?

Autoinvest is a rule-based strategy that funds new loans for you automatically, matching the grades, terms and amounts you choose. It keeps your capital working and spreads it across many loans without manual picking.

  • 06How do you assess a loan's risk?

Every loan is graded before it is listed, using the borrower's credit history, the loan-to-value on any collateral, debt-to-equity and cash-flow coverage. The grade and key metrics are shown on the loan so you can judge it yourself.

  • 01Is Novus Capital regulated?

Novus Capital operates under the European Union crowdfunding regulation — Regulation (EU) 2020/1503 — and Bulgarian law, under the supervision of the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC). We also follow AML and GDPR requirements.

  • 02Is my investment safe?

Not in the sense a bank deposit is. Lending carries the risk that a borrower does not repay: you may lose some or all of the money you invest, and it is covered by no deposit-guarantee or investor-compensation scheme. We reduce that risk by vetting and grading every loan and requiring collateral where relevant, and a Provision Fund may contribute — but payment from it is discretionary and gives you no right to anything. The strongest protection available to you is spreading your money across many loans. The full picture is in our risk disclosure.

  • 03What happens if a loan defaults?

If a borrower falls behind, recovery begins on any collateral, and a Provision Fund may contribute towards the shortfall — at the operator's discretion, with no guarantee of any payment. Amounts recovered later are passed back to the investors in that loan. Recovery can take a long time and may return nothing.

  • 04Why do I need to verify my identity?

Identity verification (KYC) is a legal requirement for regulated financial platforms and protects everyone against fraud and money laundering. We verify through Sumsub, and your documents are handled under GDPR.

  • 01How do I add funds?

You fund your account by bank transfer from an account held in your own name. Once the transfer arrives, the balance is ready to invest.

  • 02How do I withdraw?

Your available balance — repaid principal plus interest — can be withdrawn back to your bank account. You can also free up capital sooner by selling positions on the secondary market.

  • 03How long do deposits and withdrawals take?

Timing depends on your bank and the payment network; transfers usually settle within a few business days. Your available balance updates as soon as the funds clear.

  • 04How are bonuses paid out?

Cashback, loyalty and referral bonuses are credited to your account. Some reward balances can be paid out as a stablecoin to a crypto wallet — the exact options are shown where the bonus is issued.

  • 01What bonuses are available?

There are several: cashback on what you invest, a loyalty bonus that grows as you reach higher tiers, and a referral bonus for inviting friends. The current rates are shown in your account.

  • 02How do loyalty tiers work?

The more you invest over time, the higher the loyalty tier you reach, and the more cashback you earn back on new investments. Your tier and its rate are shown on your dashboard.

  • 03How does the referral bonus work?

Share your referral link; when someone signs up and invests through it, you both earn a referral bonus. You can track your referrals and bonuses from your account.

  • 04Is there a bonus for verifying my account?

Completing identity verification can unlock a welcome bonus. The amount and conditions are shown when you finish verification.

  • 01How do I keep my account secure?

Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) in your profile settings. Combined with a strong, unique password, it adds a second layer of protection to sign-in and withdrawals.

  • 02I forgot my password — what do I do?

Use the forgot-password link on the sign-in screen. We email you a secure link to set a new one. If you do not see it, check your spam folder.

  • 03Can I control notifications?

Yes. In your notification settings you choose which updates you receive — repayments, new loans, bonuses and account activity — and how you are notified.

  • 04Where do I find tax documents?

Statements of the interest you have earned are available in your account, so you have what you need for your tax return. How that income is taxed depends on your country of residence — check your local rules.
